Depends which Viper. The ACR Viper is faster than the GTR on the track.

The GTR was just tested in Germanys Sport Auto magazine. In their supertest it lapped the ring in 7.38. A month before the new GT3 lapped the ring in the same mag in 7:40, so they`re quite close.
