Actually the Camaro is the top of the line, The Camaro SS in the Manual transmision is the most expenxive version of this Big boy (We keep expecting the Z28 version). The big contenders like the Dodge SRT8 and the Shelby GT500 are missing for now.

well, they’re comparing muscle cars from the past and how they differ from the past , if they were to compare cars, they shoulda used the camaro ss, dodge challenger srt8, and the ford shelby mustang gt500

these people ***** me up. They put 422hp against 376 with more weight. The Mustang is fine with power and weight, but why would you put 422hp against 376 with more weight? No duh it won’t keep up with the Camaro and Mustang.
Another thing, people look at the 0-60 times and go “whoah, .3 seconds slower than the Mustang.’ People, it’s ONLY .3 SECONDS, not an hour. The ideal comparison would be the Mustang GT, Challenger SRT8, and Camaro SS. Just my opinion

Uhohguitar are u smoking *****? Can you not clearly see in this video that the mustang and camaro both handle through the slolum at almost 67mph and the challenger can only do it in 64????? The challenger looks good that’s all it definitely hasn’t earned the right to be the most expensive!! And the srt8 is even less car for the mone

dave777blaster, you are one stupid *******. Nissan V6 is a fucking 3 yr old toddler compared to these bad boys. go somewhere else where you can talk about weak tuner cars. Muscle cars dominate tuners even if they’re stock.

the camaro was intended to compete with these two cars which is why car & driver, motor trend, and edmunds all of which are pro. car testers used these 3 in t he comparison DUHHHHHHHHH.

for the 1,000th time in a true comparison as you see above the winner is based on how well rounded the car is. price, handling, speed, comfort, gas(of recent increases is important), styling, and interior styling. the srt8 can do a better job in the 0-60 and 1/4 mile test than the R/T but it still wouldnt be able to beat the camaro in those categories nor any of the other categories most apparent would be price difference!! the camaro is the clear winner in these group of cars end of story.

I would also like to see a Camero SS, Mustang GT500, SRT8 Challenger shootout however as history tends to repeat itself the best Camero is yet to come (can you say “Camero LS9 RS/SS”?

yeah i was wondering why they didnt use the srt8 too i bet it would probably be dead even with the camaro or at least stay right with it.

Car
Chevy had the concept out in 2006 and announced 1 yr later that it was going to go into production and gave rough specs of what engines would be availible and how much hp it would produce. Ford just redesigned the mustang knowing what the camaro was capable of but didn’t do much to better the performance. Dodge has the hp but the car is too big and the handling just isn’t there but they could have made it better. Dodge and Ford had plenty of time to make their cars better but they didn’t.
